Yesterday, history was made – twice!

Mary Peltola became Alaska’s first Congresswoman and the first Alaska Native elected to the U.S. House of Representatives! National newspapers and Lower-48 pundits are calling yesterday’s win an “upset victory” for Alaska Democrats and an ominous sign for Republicans ahead of the midterm elections.

As we celebrate yesterday’s triumph with you, we must also remember that our collective work is not yet done! We need to keep an eye on the prize and see that Mary is re-elected as well as ensure that important down-ticket races are won in November. To do that, we need your help!

ADP made significant investments in voter education and get-out-the-vote initiatives ahead of the Special Election and Primary Election in support of Mary’s candidacy and to empower voters across the state under the new electoral system. Not only will we continue these efforts – but we will ramp them up heading into November!

Please donate to ADP at this link to help aide our mission of electing awesome democratic candidates who will fight to protect abortion access, support our public schools, and battle the climate crisis!

As always, we appreciate your support!

In Solidarity,

Lindsay Kavanaugh
Executive Director, Alaska Democratic Party
