Representative Rebecca Himschoot is a retired elementary teacher who has lived in Sitka for 26 years. She has served on several boards as well as the Sitka Assembly. Rep. Himschoot refers to her “North Star” as the Alaskan values of hard work, freedom, compassion, and integrity, and she is committed to improving our quality of life.

Alana Greear has worked in Kachemak Selo, Razdolna, and Voznesenka Schools as a teacher. She filed to run after the State House failed to override Gov. Dunleavy’s veto of the bipartisan BSA increase. As the KPBSD faces over a $16 million budget deficit, she was devastated to see the legislature kill necessary funding needed to stop major cuts to our schools.

Brent Johnson has been a commercial setnet fisherman in Kasilof for the last 57 years. He’s deeply committed to sustainable fishing practices, promoting and protecting local subsistence, charter, & commercial fishing resources. He believes in a government of Alaska that is by Alaskans, for Alaskans.


Hezekiah ‘Ky’ Holland

HD9 | Anchorage

Hezekiah “Ky” Holland grew up in Anchorage on the hillside and enjoyed working on cars, snowmachining, skiing, and reading about the early history of Alaska, especially the gold rush stories and Jack London’s adventures. In addition to starting a campaign for House District 9, he’s active in local community development programs that support community resilience and the next generation of Alaskans.

He comes from a family of educators and supports funding our schools to provide our children with the quality education they deserve. He will fight for our children’s future by fighting for our salmon and caribou, and villages’ right to practice subsistence.
