Dan Sullivan Votes for War, Gas Prices Continue Spiking

Last night, Dan Sullivan voted (for the eighth time) against reining in the war that is driving fuel costs to “apocalyptic” highs across Alaska.

“Families in rural Alaska are already being forced to choose between buying heating fuel and buying food because fuel is $10 a gallon – and still, Dan Sullivan keeps pushing his price-hiking agenda,” said Alaska Democratic Party Chair Eric Croft. “Not only does he have zero solutions for this crisis, he keeps voting to raise costs. He has sold out Alaskans and we’ll make him answer for it in November.”

As a result of the Sullivan-supported war, fuel prices could rise to almost $20 per gallon in rural Alaska, and some communities may not receive a fuel shipment at all. The fuel price crisis is already forcing airlines to hike fares and cut services, leaving Alaskans in remote communities with fewer options and higher bills.
