REPORT: Self-Serving Sullivan’s Toxic Agenda is Causing “Soaring” Fuel Prices, Skyrocketing Airfare for Alaskans

A new report from Alaska Public Media documents what Alaskans already know: fuel, gas, and airfare costs are surging thanks to Dan Sullivan’s price-hiking agenda.

“Alaskans rely on air travel more than any other state, and now airfares are skyrocketing out of reach thanks to Dan Sullivan,” said Alaska Democratic Party Chair Eric Croft. “Self-Serving Sullivan’s toxic agenda has made life more expensive for Alaskans in every area, from groceries to essential travel. But while we’re getting squeezed by high costs, Sullivan is enriching himself at our expense.”

According to Alaska Public Media, jet fuel prices have “soared” in the wake of the Dan Sullivan-supported war in Iran, causing airlines to “cut routes and hike fares.” As Alaskans try to book essential travel and summer trips, services are being slashed and costs are climbing with no relief in sight – all thanks to Dan Sullivan.

Self-Serving Sullivan touts a long record of siding with special interests to pass costs on to Alaskans. He voted against over $100 million in funding for the Essential Air Service that connects remote Alaska communities to basic necessities, and has voted time and time again to spike health care costs. Meanwhile Sullivan himself has reported up to $2 million in stock trades and ballooned his personal wealth while serving in the U.S. Senate. He’s said and done nothing to bring costs down or mitigate the disaster he helped to create, and Alaskans are the ones paying the price.
