REMINDER: On Coast Guard Birthday, Dan Sullivan Voted Against $150 Million in Funding for Coast Guard

On the 236th anniversary of the Coast Guard’s founding, Dan Sullivan’s Alaska-last agenda is under the microscope. Sullivan voted against almost $150 million in funding for the U.S. Coast Guard – which employs 2,000 Alaskans, strengthens Alaskans’ security, and helps protect Alaska’s fisheries, a multi-billion dollar industry.

“The Coast Guard is essential to Alaskans’ security and economy, but Dan Sullivan can’t be trusted to stand up for them in the U.S. Senate,” said Alaska Democratic Party Chair Eric Croft. “Instead of properly funding the men and women guarding Alaska’s coastlines, Self-Serving Sullivan has voted against the resources they need to keep us safe, to the detriment of our economy and our service members. Just another example of Sullivan being Alaska-last.”
