This National No Rhyme Or Reason Day, Dan Sullivan is providing no rhyme or reason for his Alaska-last record as he runs away from Alaskans. Whether it’s giving “no comment” about the tariffs poised to skyrocket costs for Alaskans or skipping out on meet-and-greets, Dan Sullivan is refusing to answer to Alaskans.
“Dan Sullivan has no rhyme or reason for his self-serving, self-enriching record that is driving up costs for Alaskans,” said Alaska Democratic Party Chair Eric Croft. “Sullivan has abandoned Alaskans every day for his own selfish interests, so this cowardly behavior is anything but surprising.”
Despite Alaska being “uniquely vulnerable” to the impact of Dan Sullivan’s price-hiking tariffs, recent reporting revealed that Sullivan “did not respond to requests for comment” on the new 50 percent tariff proposed on Canadian goods, despite Alaskans facing a cost of living crisis that he created. Dan Sullivan has voted for these tariffs and against the best interests of Alaskans each and every time they’ve come up for a vote (4/2/25, 4/30/25, 4/30/25, 10/28/25, 10/29/25, 10/30/25).
Reporting from Alaska Public Media also revealed that Dan Sullivan abruptly cut and ran off a live Q&A during a video meeting after being asked about his broken promise to donate Pebble Mine-tied campaign contributions to charity. After being asked “Why did you break your pledge to return the money you took from the Pebble Mine CEO?” Sullivan simply replied “I gotta run.”
Sullivan also was a no-show after making a crowd in Kodiak wait more than forty minutes at a planned meet-and-greet where Alaskans hoped to hear his stance on a nearly two billion-dollar slush fund that could have personally paid him taxpayer money. Sullivan could have personally benefited from the slush fund.
