New reporting coupled with AAA data shows that Alaskans can expect yet another price increase at the gas pump due to Dan Sullivan’s support for the price-hiking war in Iran. As Alaskans suffer from record-high gas prices this spring and summer that are directly caused by Sullivan’s ongoing support for war in Iran, Sullivan is remaining silent as prices increase again.
“While Dan Sullivan continues to support the price-hiking war, Alaskans are bracing yet again for record-high prices at the pump,” said Alaska Democratic Party Chair Eric Croft. “Sullivan has provided no relief amid this crisis, and his ongoing support for the war makes it clear he has no problem leaving Alaskans to foot the bill.”
Recent price increases follow revelations that Dan Sullivan’s continued support for the price-hiking war – and the energy crisis it’s created in Alaska – has led to some of the highest fuel prices in the nation, especially for rural Alaskans who rely on fuel delivery by barge, and were forced to lock in their annual prices when fuel rates were negotiated in May. Since some villages only get one or two fuel deliveries a year, rural communities had no choice but to place their orders in the spring, just as the Iran war sent prices soaring.
