NEW: Alaskan Federal Workforce Decreases Under Dan Sullivan’s Anti-Worker Record

Reports from the Alaska Department of Labor show that in the past year, federal employment of Alaskans fell by 1,300 as Dan Sullivan has betrayed Alaska workers and gone against their best interests time and time again. His AFL-CIO report card last year came in at an abysmal 11%.

“Dan Sullivan has spent years undermining workers’ rights, hiking costs on Alaska working families, and lining his own pockets along the way,” said Alaska Democratic Party Chair Eric Croft. “Alaska has one of the highest rates of federal employees in the country and we deserve a senator who actually stands with our workers, not his Lower 48 special interest campaign donors.”

Sullivan supported and defended cuts to the National Park Service that sank “park service jobs in the state … close to pandemic lows” even as visitor demand hit new highs — costing Alaskans jobs and straining access to the parks Alaska’s economy relies on.
