On National Blame Someone Else Day, Dan Sullivan is all too familiar with finding a scapegoat for the consequences of his DC dealings, having voted to gut health care and spike costs for tens of thousands of Alaskans, yet refusing to take the blame.
After Dan Sullivan himself voted seven times in less than two months against extending tax credits that would lower Alaskans’ health care costs – September 30th, October 1st, October 3rd, October 6th, October 8th, October 9th, and November 10th – he refused to take accountability for the devastating cuts, then tried to cover up his record with an 11th-hour vote that had no chance of passing.
“Self-Serving Sullivan can try to duck and dodge responsibility for his toxic votes in DC all he wants, but the reality is that the only person to blame for these devastating cuts to our health care is himself,” said Alaska Democratic Party Chair Eric Croft. “Dan Sullivan voted against making health care more affordable for Alaskans not once, not twice, but seven times – and Alaskans won’t forget this November.”
Self-Serving Sullivan’s cuts make life more expensive for Alaskans as they already face some of the highest healthcare costs in the country, and some of the most expensive premiums, forcing many Alaskans off their health insurance as they struggle to keep up.
