This year, Alaska Women Ascend (AWA) is hosting a statewide leadership training that prepares progressive women across Alaska to run, lead, and win. The event will be October 10–12, 2025, in person at Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage. Whether planning to run for office, support a candidate, manage campaign finances, or volunteer for a candidate or cause, this training will provide succinct and critical information.
Since 2017, nearly 400 women have completed AWA training—many now serve as legislators, mayors, assembly members, nonprofit leaders, and campaign professionals. The goal is to build a strong, diverse bench of progressive leaders who are ready to step up and serve.
Applications are open now and space is limited. The cost of the conference is $250 per attendee. Travel and conference scholarships are available based on need.
