Will You Shape Alaska's Future With Us?
We’re working to strengthen our schools, support our families, and build a more vibrant and sustainable Alaska for everyone.
Alaska Democrats are proud to endorse these candidates for the 2026 Municipal elections:
Sydney Scout | Seat 1, Downtown
Sydney is running for the Anchorage Assembly to put her boots-on-the-ground experience to work locally, with a focus on housing stability, safer neighborhoods, reliable city services, and accountability at City Hall.
She believes local government should work for everyday people and is committed to listening, collaborating, and delivering straightforward, practical results for North Anchorage families.
Anna Brawley | Seat 3, West Anchorage
Anna is dedicated to making Anchorage work for everyone. With her professional background in planning, policy, and project management, Anna uses her skills and knowledge to work on Anchorage’s key issues: housing affordability, public safety, fixing aging infrastructure, and finding opportunities to grow a next-generation economy. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Assembly, Co-Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee, and helps represent the Municipality’s interests in federal and state policy and advocacy.
Janice Park | Seat 4, Midtown
George Martinez | Seat 5, East Anchorage
George Martinez is the incumbent for East Anchorage Assembly. He is running for reelection this cycle.
Rachel Blakeslee | School Board Seat C
Rachel is a former classroom teacher and a longtime advocate for public education. Rachel is running for a seat on the Anchorage School Board because like so many families and educators, she’s exhausted by the constant churn of crises in our school system, and she believes we must do better.
Paul McDonogh | School Board Seat D
We’re working to strengthen our schools, support our families, and build a more vibrant and sustainable Alaska for everyone.
