On Earth Day, Alaskans are reminded that Dan Sullivan has time and time again sold out Alaska fisheries and the fishermen and communities that rely on them.
“Self-Serving Sullivan has always put himself first and Alaskans last – cashing checks from Pebble Mine executives, associating with projects that would destroy Alaska salmon streams, and hiding his stock sales in the world’s largest farmed salmon company,” said Alaska Democratic Party Chair Eric Croft. “He cares more about his own stocks than our fish stocks, and Alaskans are sick of it.”

Recent reporting exposed that Sullivan has a scandal-ridden, nearly two-decade “long relationship of advocacy” for Pebble Mine, a project overwhelmingly opposed by Alaskans that would jeopardize the world’s largest sockeye salmon fishery and its more than $2 billion annual economic engine supporting Alaskan fishermen and families.
Not only did Sullivan break his promise to Alaskans to donate Pebble Mine-tied campaign contributions, he has continued quietly cashing checks from the Pebble CEO while staying silent publicly as executives push to resurrect the mine.
Sullivan broke federal transparency laws by failing to disclose $65,000 of stock sales in Mowi, the world’s largest producer of farmed salmon. Sullivan profited from a direct competitor to Alaska’s fishing industry.
