Dan Sullivan is Making Your Fourth of July More Expensive

Sullivan’s price hikes send Alaska cookout prices sky-high on America’s 250th birthday.

As Alaskans get ready to celebrate Independence Day and the 250th birthday of the United States,  families are being squeezed by record-high prices on fuel, food, and airfare thanks to Self-Serving Sullivan’s price-hiking agenda

“Alaskans should be focused on celebrating with their loved ones this Independence Day, but Dan Sullivan’s affordability crisis is making it harder for families to put food on the table and gas in their cars,” said Alaska Democratic Party Chair Eric Croft. “Sullivan only cares about his own self-interest, and Alaskans are paying the price.”

While Dan Sullivan is blowing through campaign cash on lavish dinners, Alaskan shoppers are staring down higher prices for several cookout staples, including ground beef, chicken breasts, buns, cheese, chips, cookies, pork and beans, and ice cream. According to the American Farm Bureau Federation’s 2026 Summer Cookout Cost Survey, a classic Independence Day cookout will cost $73.82, or about $7.38 per person, an increase of 4%, from last year.

See for yourself how else Self-Serving Sullivan’s price-hiking agenda is driving up costs for Alaskans heading into the long weekend:
