This National Nurses Day, Alaska’s healthcare system is buckling under the weight of skyrocketing healthcare costs and Medicaid cuts thanks to Dan Sullivan.
“Self-Serving Sullivan voted to slash the program that one third of Alaskans rely on for healthcare, all to pay for tax breaks for billionaires,” said Alaska Democratic Party Chair Eric Croft. “Dan Sullivan has repeatedly voted to raise healthcare costs and gut services, and in return Alaskans will vote to kick him out of office in November.”

Sullivan cast the deciding vote to slash $2 billion from federal Medicaid payments to Alaska, the program that more than 250,000 Alaskans (one in three Alaskans) rely on to receive life-saving healthcare, threatening to strip 14,000 Alaskans of care entirely.
Dan Sullivan voted seven times in as many weeks against extending ACA tax credits that Alaskans relied on to afford their health insurance (9/30/25, 10/1/25, 10/3/25, 10/6/25, 10/8/25, 10/9/25, 11/10/2).
Thanks to Dan’s obstruction and DC dysfunction, tens of thousands of Alaskans are now facing skyrocketing healthcare premiums, with average cost increases projected to be 125%, or $1,836 more annually.
