REMINDER: Sullivan Spends Special-Interest Campaign Cash on Lavish Dinners, Luxury Trips

Ahead of Dan Sullivan’s upcoming FEC report, which will reveal what else he’s been spending his donor dollars on, a reminder that Dan’s been living large with special interest campaign cash to splurge on five-star vacations and elite DC dinners. Sullivan has repeatedly raked in campaign cash from his special-interest backers, notably including cash from Pebble Mine executives and nearly $400,000 from donors connected to the trawling industry.

“Dan Sullivan will always put himself and his special interest backers above Alaskans,” said Alaska Democratic Party Chair Eric Croft. “While Alaskans face record-high costs, Self-Serving Sullivan has been wining and dining at luxurious golf resorts and the ritziest DC steakhouses. Alaskans deserve better, and now that the truth is out, they’ll vote Sullivan out this November.”

Dan Sullivan’s decadent tab, as reported

  • $35,000 at the Capital Grille, home of the $200 bone-in dry-aged ribeye;

  • $132,000 on multiple stays at the five-star “premier luxury” Kiawah Island Golf Resort;

  • $20,000 at the French restaurant Bistro Bis;

  • $20,000 at Charlie Palmer Steak;

  • And $14,000 at the ultra-discreet 116 Club, a Capitol Hill row house where lobbyists rub shoulders with legislators over the city’s (supposed) best crabcakes.
