Raising the Steaks: Dan Sullivan “Splurged” Tens of Thousands of Donor Dollars on Fancy DC Dinners

On the eve of National Steak Day, reporting suggests that Dan Sullivan has more than a few favorite haunts on the menu where he can indulge the holiday. Sullivan has “splurged through” $100,000 in campaign cash on lavish DC dinners, including $20,000 at Charlie Palmer Steak and $35,000 at the Capital Grille, “home of the $200 bone-in dry-aged ribeye.”

“It’s shameful – as Alaskans are struggling to get by thanks to DC Dan’s price-hiking agenda, he’s enjoying $200 steaks and rubbing shoulders with special interest donors,” said Alaska Democratic Party Chair Eric Croft. “Sullivan actually working for Alaska is certainly more rare than his steak.”

Dan Sullivan’s decadent dinner expenditures, as reported

  • $35,000 at the Capital Grille, “home of the $200 bone-in dry-aged ribeye”;

  • $20,000 at the French restaurant Bistro Bis;

  • $20,000 at Charlie Palmer Steak

  • And $14,000 at the “ultra-discreet” 116 Club, “a Capitol Hill row house where lobbyists rub shoulders with legislators.”
