September in Review

A positive step forward.
Last month, Democrats across Alaska came together to power local elections — from the Interior Democrats’ Municipal Candidate Kickoff to communities organizing locally. These moments remind us how much energy and determination Alaskans bring when we stand side by side. Local elections are where democracy begins, and every vote cast helps build a stronger, more representative Alaska.

Troubling setbacks.
At the same time, Dan Sullivan, Nick Begich, and Governor Mike Dunleavy have once again shown where their loyalties lie: with billionaire allies and not with everyday Alaskans. Sullivan & Begich continue to block efforts to release the Epstein files — denying victims and the public the transparency and accountability we all deserve. In addition, Governor Dunleavy vetoed a bill that would have closed corporate tax loopholes, making it clear he’ll put companies like Amazon before Alaska brick-and-mortar stores.
