Kathy Simpler is a nonpartisan independent candidate for the Alaska State House in District 5. Simpler intends to advocate for the needs of coastal Alaska through a bipartisan approach to deliver for Alaska infrastructure, fisheries, schools, and ferries. She has been the Region Director for the Alaskan NEA Board since 2022.
