Alaska Democratic Party Endorses Les Gara for Alaska Governor and
Jessica Cook for Lieutenant Governor

Anchorage, Alaska – Today, the Alaska Democratic Party (ADP) endorsed Les Gara for Alaska Governor and Jessica Cook for Alaska Lieutenant Governor.

“ADP is thrilled to endorse these privacy rights advocates. Alaskans need bold and inspiring leaders committed to ensuring that the reproductive rights of Alaskan women continue to be protected in our state,” said ADP Executive Director Lindsay Kavanaugh. “As the only pro-choice champions in this race and after demonstrating their viability in the Primary, I am confident Les and Jessica have what it takes to win.”

“The Gara-Cook ticket is exactly what Alaska needs right now; two individuals focused on the future of the state and the well-being of Alaskans. We know Les can deliver for our state just as he did for his district during his sixteen years in the State House,” said ADP Chair Michael Wenstrup. “Jessica taught in the Anchorage School District for over two decades, is a strong union supporter, and is a fierce champion for a bright future for all Alaskans. We won’t find more incredible public education advocates than Les Gara and Jessica Cook in this race.”

Separately, to increase the chance of unseating Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy, who has repeatedly demonstrated his fealty to Donald Trump and his contempt for Alaskans who are not his ‘base,’ we encourage voters to rank the Walker-Drygas ticket second.
