Dan Sullivan has voted more than 10 times to continue the war in Iran that is spiking the price of gas and goods, with Alaska especially hard-hit. Today, he has a message for Alaskans who may be wondering what their U.S. Senator will do about the crisis he created: “No comment.” 

New reporting from the Washington Post highlights how in “Alaska, where there are few people and fewer roads, gasoline, diesel and other fuels are needed to power almost everything.” But Sullivan – who “has been a steadfast supporter of the war with Iran” – “did not respond to requests for comment.”

Sullivan’s only comment on gas prices so far has been a fundraising email “beg[ging]” for gas money from Alaskans – a stark difference from “his indignation four years ago, when gas prices peaked” in 2022.

“Of course Dan Sullivan is silent when asked about the impact of his price-hikes,” said Alaska Democratic Party Chair Eric Croft. “Self-Serving Sullivan doesn’t care if Alaskans are paying more because he’s a multimillionaire who doesn’t have to worry about affording his next tank of gas. While Sullivan enriches himself in the U.S. Senate, we’re paying the price.”
