Matt Schultz Campaign Donates $200,000 to Help Elect Democrats Across Alaska

The Alaska Democratic Party announced today that the Matt Schultz campaign has donated $200,000 to the Party, giving Democrats a major boost as we work toward delivering for Alaskans. This donation will help Alaska Democrats protect and expand our legislative majorities, bring new voters into the Party, and build the lasting infrastructure needed to carry forward the momentum Matt Schultz created during his campaign.

“Matt Schultz built a campaign powered by people who believed in a better future for our state,” said Eric Croft, Chairman of the Alaska Democratic Party. “Now, that support will help elect Democrats who are ready to lower costs, defend our freedoms, and deliver for working families across Alaska.”

“I ran for office because of a moral calling to care for our neighbors, fight for working people, and build a future where every Alaskan has the opportunity to thrive,” said Matt Schultz, former candidate for U.S. House. “I’m proud that investments in my campaign will continue advancing those values by helping elect leaders across Alaska ready to serve with integrity, compassion, and courage. Although my campaign may have ended, the work we started together carries on.”

Republicans should not expect easy races this year. The Schultz contribution allows Democrats to press the advantage in districts where voters are ready for something different.

The Party will also see increased support for Team Togo. Through this initiative, nine Alaska Democrats have filed this year to run in some of the state’s most conservative districts, including six where Republicans ran uncontested in 2024. In the Mat-Su alone, Democrats are contesting seven of eight seats, giving voters a real choice and creating a pathway to representation in Juneau.

With this contribution, Democrats can provide candidates in these historically underfunded races with the resources to reach voters and organize their communities. Alaska Democrats are competing where Republicans have long been allowed to waltz into office, and we are on track to win big in November.
