Shoppers across Anchorage will be able to submit their grocery and gas receipts to give Dan Sullivan a reality check on sky-high prices on the shelves and at the pumps.

Ahead of the anniversary of Dan Sullivan’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) that spiked costs for Alaskans, the Alaska Democratic Party is launching a “Send Sullivan Your Receipts” campaign to highlight his price-hiking agenda that has raised the cost of healthcare, gas, and groceries, and is slashing critical services for Alaskans.

“While Dan Sullivan is feasting on $200 steaks at the most exclusive tables in DC and begging for gas money in fundraising emails, Alaskans are struggling to afford gas and groceries,” said Alaska Democratic Party Chair Eric Croft. Dan Sullivan should know what the cost of living crisis he created has done to Alaskans’ living paycheck to paycheck, and we’re happy to show him the receipts.”

The Alaska Democratic Party is placing flyers around grocery stores and gas stations in Anchorage that guide shoppers to a survey encouraging them to submit their sky-high receipts and leave feedback for Dan Sullivan on how his price-hikes have impacted them.

Sullivan was the deciding vote on the bill that he falsely claimed would strengthen healthcare in Alaska and benefit Alaska’s working families. In reality, his vote has increased Alaskans’ premium costs by 125% annually, one of the steepest increases in premium spikes, and will result in 27,000 families in Alaska losing some or all of their food benefits as grocery prices continue to rise. Food prices have increased 3.3% in urban Alaska between April 2025 and April 2026, and have skyrocketed in rural parts of the state. For households that participate in SNAP, this means that roughly the entire amount of their average daily benefits could be spent on just one food item.
