Fairbanks Wins Show What’s Possible

In Fairbanks, Alaska Democrats won across the board. From city council to school board, voters chose leaders who will protect their communities and stand up for working families. These victories showed the change that’s possible across Alaska when we work side by side — and it’s a reminder that our movement is growing stronger every day.

Alaskans Stand Up: No Kings

From the Arctic to the Southeast, Alaskans gathered in at least 25 communities to send a clear message: no one is above the law. Our Executive Director, Jenny-Marie Stryker, joined the rally in Anchorage to speak. Together, we called out Trump’s continued abuse of power and demanded accountability and respect for the rule of law. Across the state, Alaskans are proving that we value democracy, integrity, and justice — and we’re not afraid to stand up for them.

Standing Together at the Alaska Federation of Natives Convention

Last month, Alaska Native communities from across the state gathered in Anchorage for the annual Alaska Federation of Natives Convention. The Alaska Democrats were proud to be a Susitna Sponsor this year. Shaping Alaska’s future means defending its people, its traditions, and its land — and we can only do that together.

Save the Date: The AK Democrats’ Holiday Auction

Join us for an evening of celebration and community at our annual Holiday Auction on December 4th at 6 P.M. at the Alaska Native Heritage Center in Anchorage! This year’s theme, A Starry Night, is all about coming together to look toward a brighter future. Funds raised will go directly toward electing Democrats up and down the ticket — supporting training, digital outreach, and voter engagement ahead of the 2026 elections.

Staff Spotlight

Meet our Party Chair, Eric Croft!

Eric is a lifelong Alaskan with a commitment to progressive politics. He served in the Alaska House of Representatives, the Anchorage School Board, and the Anchorage Municipal Assembly. When not consumed by politics, he has worked as an Anchorage prosecutor, starting a company to help people pass the Alaska Bar Exam; as a workers’ compensation attorney helping injured workers; and, most recently, teaching law at UAA.

Eric is married to the lovely and talented Joanna and is the proud father of Shannon and Burke. He enjoys boating, fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle in the summer, although he is consistently mediocre at all four.
