District 4 is due for an update. These candidates will work to build a community rooted in love & dignity. The clear path forward is this: the government MUST be improved, schools must be funded, and red tape must be cut.

Janice Park is running for the Anchorage Assembly to make our streets safer, our housing more affordable, and our parks, trails, and public spaces something to be proud of again. She’s ready to get to work fighting for vibrant neighborhoods, a stronger local economy, and a better future for Midtown’s working families.

Rachel is a former classroom teacher and a longtime advocate for public education. Rachel is running for a seat on the Anchorage School Board because like so many families and educators, she’s exhausted by the constant churn of crises in our school system, and she believes we must do better.

Paul McDonogh | School Board Seat D

Paul McDonogh is a lifelong Alaskan, Sugpiaq educator, and passionate advocate for Anchorage’s students and families. Raised between Bristol Bay and Anchorage, Paul brings lived experience from both rural and urban communities to his work in education. A father of four, former Anchorage School District teacher, and current Tribal education leader, Paul’s campaign is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: education should open pathways for every child to realize their full potential, without limits imposed by bias or circumstance, and with the full support of their schools and community.
