Dan Sullivan Reports Nearly 100 Stock Trades, Triples Wealth in Senate, Takes Eleventh-Hour, Election-Year Vote on “Spineless” Stock Trading Legislation

Today, following years of “prolific stock trad[ing]” in the United States Senate that has allowed him to triple his wealth at Alaskans’ expense, Dan Sullivan took an eleventh-hour, election-year political vote on “watered-down” stock trading legislation that non-partisan ethics experts have called “spineless” and “a joke” that “could tank […] genuine reform in Congress.”

“Dan Sullivan has had twelve years in DC to rein in corruption and deliver for Alaskans; instead, he’s reported nearly 100 stock trades, tripled his wealth, and served his special interest backers at every turn,” said Alaska Democratic Party Chair Eric Croft. “This is sham, partisan legislation that Dan Sullivan only supported to conceal his record of enriching himself, tripling his own personal wealth and making suspiciously timed stock trades. We deserve a senator who is fighting for us, not his stock portfolio – Sullivan can only run from his history of self-enrichment for so long, and Alaskans will make him pay this November.”

Recent reporting from The New York Times cited Dan Sullivan as among the “more prolific stock traders in the Senate,” making nearly 100 stock trades and tripling his personal wealth while in office.
