Tongass Democrats
The newly created Tongass Democrats encompass House Districts 31 and 32, Senate District P, which includes the communities of Gustavus, Juneau, Petersburg, Skagway, and Tenakee Springs. The Tongass Democrats is made up of Democratic volunteers who primarily work to raise money for state and national Democratic candidates. The Tongass Democrats also perform services to the community, such as picking up trash along the roadside, organize the bi-annual Democratic presidential caucus, and make the Democratic presence known at events throughout its communities.
The Tongass Democrats meet the first Thursday of every month at 5:15pm at the IBEW Hall, 813 W. 12th Street next to Harri Plumbing downtown. All Democrats and their guests are welcome to attend.
